About the Event
Want to volunteer to participate in an upcoming community-based public art project? Join me and your fellow creative community members for a VIRTUAL WORKSHOP, CROCHET STITCHES FOR BEGINNERS on Saturday, 12/12/2020 from 6:30-7pm or Sunday 12/13/2020, from 1:30-2pm EST. *Funding for this program is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
HOW IT WORKS:
• Bring your plarn (or yarn!) and a 5.5mm crochet hook, and join the call
• Connect with your community by joining the online workshops and learn how to use your plarn and perform the basic crochet stitches needed to make hydrangea flowers and leaves for the project in just a few easy steps! These 6 stitches are all you need to know to crochet pieces to help create the public art installation, and we will need a lot pieces! Whether or not you decide to make the flowers and leaves later, these are the main stitches you need to know to crochet just about anything! You can make all kinds of things once you know these basic steps.
• Tune in next week to put your plarn and basic crochet stitches together to learn how to crochet hydrangea leaves and flowers for our public art installation!
